New Macon Love brew to be unveiled during CBF event Thursday

March 17, 2014

Middle Georgia beer lovers can get a taste of Macon Beer Co.’s second brew during a Cherry Blossom Festival event later this week.

The brew, called Macon Love, will be available for the first time at the “Beers, Brats, and Brushstrokes” event March 20.

The beer is a blonde ale, brewed with rye, El Dorado hops and more than 200 pounds of sweet cherries.

“This is a seasonal brand with limited production,” co-owner Cory Smith said. “Once it’s gone, it’s gone until next spring.”

The release of Macon Love will be coordinated with the International Cherry Blossom Festival each year and will be featured at local restaurants and bars during the event.

The release party for the new brand will be Friday night at Cox Capital Theater.
