A 7-year-old girl is in critical condition and five others were hospitalized following a four-vehicle accident Friday night in which a log truck overturned.

A Bibb Sheriff’s Office release states that the accident happened at about 7:15 p.m. on Chambers Road between Nesbit Drive and Harrison Road.

The release states that a 1997 Oldsmobile Achiva driven by Sondra Greene, 52, of Macon, pulled out of Chambers Pointe Apartments in front of a log truck traveling east on Chambers Road. The truck driver, Kenneth Berkley, 53, of Forsyth, tried to avoid the car but lost control and struck it and a 2008 Chevy Malibu driven by Ashante Gordon, 22, of Macon.

The log truck overturned and some of the logs struck a 1985 Nissan pickup driven by Victor Morales, 39, of Macon.

All of the drivers are listed in stable condition at The Medical Center of Central Georgia. Tusheika Taylor, 30, and her 7-year-old daughter, were passengers in Gordon’s vehicle and were also hospitalized. Taylor is in stable condition and her daughter, who suffered a head injury, was listed in critical but stable condition.
