Crawford County 4-H holding rabies clinic fundraiser

Pet owners are invited to bring their animals to Saturday’s rabies clinic sponsored by Crawford County 4-H.

Veterinarian Felix Smith will administer $9 rabies shots in a roving clinic that begins at 8 a.m. Saturday at volunteer fire station No. 7, 6662 U.S. 341 South in Crawford County.

After 30 minutes, the clinic shifts to volunteer fire station No. 5 at 368 Carroll Road from 8:45 to 9:15 a.m., David Bailey Park in downtown Roberta from 9:30 to 11 a.m., Friendship Community House on Ga. 42 from 11:15 a.m. until 12:15 p.m., Sandy Point Grocery at 3737 Sandy Point Road in Lizella from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m., Lizella Ace Hardware at 3321 Holley Road from 2 to 3 p.m. before wrapping up from 3:30 to 4 p.m. at the volunteer fire station No. 4 across from Dickey Farms in Musella.

For additional charges, animals can be checked for heartworms and receive additional vaccines for Canine DHLPPw/C and Feline Leukemia and FVRCP.
