Lifetime Network will air the TV movie “The Trip to Bountiful” at 8 p.m. Saturday night.

The movie, based on a 1953 teleplay by Horton Foote, was partially shot at Terminal Station last November. Other parts were filmed in Atlanta.

The latest version of “The Trip to Bountiful” stars Cicely Tyson and Vanessa Williams, who also played in a stage version last year on Broadway. Tyson won a Tony Award for her performance.

Both Tyson and Williams were in Macon last fall for filming.

According to Playbill.com, “The Trip to Bountiful” is about “a woman’s determination to go home one last time (which) restores hope and faith to her family.”
