No snow makeup days for Monroe County students

Monroe County students won’t be making up the five school days canceled because of bad winter weather earlier this year, according to a school system news release.

The Georgia Department of Education’s Assessment and Accountability Office has approved the school system’s request to move testing windows for various state tests, including Criterion-Referenced Competency Tests and End of Course Tests, back five instructional days, according to the release.

Spring break, the last day of school and graduation day will remain as scheduled unless severe weather causes additional instructional days to be cancelled.
