Right Start is committed to educating and empowering teens and adults to always be conscientious, responsible and safe drivers through the use of defensive driving and personal safety practices in order to prevent traffic violations, collisions, accidental injuries and fatalities, owner Violet Poe said in the release. This is Poes first business, but she has a family history of entrepreneurship. Her father owned the New Look Club on Cotton Avenue in the 1960s and 1970s, she said.
The business will offer classes several times each week from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. and 5-9 p.m.
