Two men were stabbed by a friend who robbed them as they drove on Interstate 75 Monday night in Macon, according to Bibb County sheriff’s officials.

Deputies are looking for 20-year-old Robert Kyle Barthelemy, who ordered his friends to let him out of the car between Interstate 16 and Arkwright Road at about 7 p.m. Monday, according to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

The victims, 20-year-old Gordon Brossard and 31-year-old Paul Knight, both of Statesboro, told investigators that Barthelemy invited them to visit him in Macon.

They met Barthelemy at the McDonald’s at 550 Gray Highway, got into Knight’s Ford Focus and drove north on I-75 where Barthelemy pulled a knife, started cutting both of them and demanded money.

When he got the cash, Barthelemy ordered them to let him out of the car.

The victims drove to the Arkwright Road exit and called 911. Both were taken to The Medical Center of Central Georgia where they were in stable condition.

Barthelemy is a 20-year-old white male who is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 140 pounds.

He has short brown hair, brown eyes and sometimes has a goatee.

Anyone who sees him is urged to use caution and call Macon Regional CrimeStoppers at 877-68-CRIME.
