The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office arrested two people and are looking for a third in connection to cases involving the theft and forging of checks found in mailboxes.

Investigators accuse Bobby Leon Parrish, 23, of stealing a check from a mailbox near Middlesex Drive in West Bibb County and replacing the payable portion of the check made out to a cable company with his name.

He was arrested Feb. 6, released and then arrested again on Monday on charges in a separate case, according to a sheriff’s office news release. Parrish is being held at the Bibb County jail on a $11,200 bond.

Brandi Danielle Lamere, 29, was arrested Feb. 12 on charges of forgery, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug-related objects. Investigators accuse her of stealing a box of checks from a mailbox in the Aspen Drive area. Lamere forged several checks for a total amount of $3,836, the release stated. Lamere is being held at the Bibb County jail on a $5,7075 bond.

Meanwhile, investigators have a warrant for Traci Lynne Mullis, 38, of Macon.

The sheriff’s office cautions the public to use their local post office when mailing checks or other materials that may contain sensitive information, the release stated.
