No one hurt when shots fired in drive-by outside Bibb County home

No one was injured in a drive-by shooting early Monday in the 400 block of Cynthia Avenue, authorities said.

Keya Nighton, 32, of Macon, a man identified only as “Jermane” and a 3-year-old girl were leaving a Cynthia Avenue residence when someone fired several shots at Nighton’s 1999 Nissan Maxima, according to a Bibb County Sheriff’s Office news release. The car was struck several times.

Investigators are attempting to identify the shooter by interviewing witnesses and reviewing evidence, the release stated.

Anyone with information related to the shooting is urged to contact the sheriff’s office at 478-751-7500 and leave a message for the on-call investigator, or call Macon Regional CrimeStoppers at 877-68-CRIME.
