WARNER ROBINS -- One person is dead after a two-vehicle crash Friday on Ga. 247 just north of Old Hawkinsville Road.

Killed was David Bratcher, 51, of Warner Robins, said Houston County sheriff’s Capt. Ronnie Harlowe. Bratcher was driving a mini-van.

John Teague, 49, of Kathleen, was taken by ambulance to The Medical Center of Central Georgia. Teague, a science teacher and football and swim coach at Warner Robins High School, was listed in stable condition Friday afternoon, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Teague was driving a pickup north on Ga. 247, and Bratcher was driving southbound on Ga. 247. The 7:12 a.m. crash blocked both north and southbound lanes for about 60 to 90 minutes.

The crash remains under investigation, with a traffic reconstructionist reviewing the accident.

Anyone with any information related to the crash is asked to call Houston County sheriff’s Lt. Clay Chambers at 542-2010.
