A pregnant Macon woman was stabbed at the door of her apartment Monday morning.

Sheriff’s deputies responded about 9 a.m. to the Green Meadows Townhouses complex located on Log Cabin Drive in Macon, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office incident report. Trouble had been brewing the night before when deputies responded to a fight between the woman, Yahavin Stewart, 35, and two acquaintances, the report stated.

Stewart told deputies she continued to receive threats from the man and woman through text messages and voice mails.

They were waiting for her when she walked outside her door in the morning, Stewart told deputies. The woman stabbed Stewart’s hand with a kitchen knife, and her male accomplice shot out a window next to her door, the report stated.

The sheriff’s office is investigating the case and is on the lookout for a red Ford Explorer, according to the report.
