Roundup of government, business and other closings, delays for Thursday

Many governments, businesses and other entities have decided to be closed or open late Thursday.

Governments

Bibb County

• Macon-Bibb County government offices will open at noon Thursday.

• Bibb County DFACS office will be closed Thursday.

• Macon Housing Authority offices will open at noon Thursday.

• The monthly board meeting of the Macon-Bibb County Board of Elections at 10:30 a.m. Thursday has been canceled and rescheduled for 10:30 a.m. Feb. 20.

• The North Central Health District, based in Macon, and all 13 county health departments within the district are closed and will reopen at 8 a.m. Friday. The counties within the district are: Baldwin, Bibb, Crawford, Jasper, Jones, Hancock, Houston, Monroe, Peach, Putnam, Twiggs, Washington and Wilkinson.

• Macon Water Authority customers who need to report an emergency, a service outage or to report a break should call 464-5656. Offices are expected to reopen at 8 a.m. Thursday. Go to www.maconwater.org for more information.

Crawford County

• Crawford County government offices will open at noon Thursday.

Houston County

• Houston County government offices will open at noon Thursday.

• Centerville government offices closed will open at 1 p.m. Thursday.

• Perry government offices will open at 1 p.m. Thursday. However, if weather and/or roadway conditions have not improved, employees will be notified by 10 a.m., and City Hall will close for the day.

• Warner Robins government offices will open at noon Thursday.

• Houston County libraries will open at noon Thursday.

Jones County

• Jones County government offices will be closed Thursday.

Monroe County

• Forsyth City Hall will be closed Thursday.

• Forsyth Municipal Court is canceled for Thursday.

Peach County

• Peach County government offices will open at noon Thursday.

• Byron government offices will open at noon Thursday.

• Fort Valley offices will open at noon Thursday.

Robins Air Force Base

• Robins Air Force Base has delayed opening until 9 a.m. Thursday. Specific instructions will be relayed through chain of command.

Twiggs County

• Twiggs County government offices will open at noon Thursday if road conditions allow.

Businesses

• The Telegraph’s business office at 487 Cherry St., Macon, will open at 10 a.m. Thursday.

• River Edge Behavioral Health Center will reopen its outpatient sites and administrative offices at noon Thursday.

• The Macon Mall plans to open as normal on Thursday but will monitor road and weather conditions overnight.

• Capital City Bank locations in Dublin and East Dublin will open at 11 a.m. Thursday, weather permitting.

• Consignment Closet in Warner Robins will be closed Thursday.

• Bass Pro Shops will open at 9 a.m. Thursday.

Other closings

• All Warner Robins Recreation Department activities for Thursday have been canceled. Coaches will receive make-up information.

• The Sip, See & Stroll in Fort Valley, scheduled for Thursday, is canceled due to inclement weather. Those who purchased tickets can call 478-825-5986 next week for a full refund.

• All Goodwill operations in Macon to open at 10 a.m. Thursday. Goodwill operations in Lake Oconee and Milledgeville will open at 11 a.m. Thursday.

• Washington Memorial Library and its branches will be open from 12:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
