Macon attorney appointed to national committee
Attorney Stephanie Woods Miller, chief deputy clerk of Macon-Bibb County Superior Court, was appointed to the National League of Cities 2014 finance, administration & intergovernmental relations steering committee.
This committee has the lead responsibility for developing NLC federal policy positions on issues involving national economic policy, general financial assistance programs, liability insurance, intergovernmental relations and more.
The appointment was announced by NLC President Chris Coleman, mayor of St. Paul, Minn.
Miller will play a key role in shaping NLCs policy positions and will advocate on behalf of Americas cities and towns before Congress, with the administration and at home.

River Edge CIO to speak at international conference
River Edge Behavioral Health Center has been selected to present its innovative use of telemedicine at the American Telemedicine Association international conference, May 1720, in Baltimore.
The ATA conference is the worlds largest event of its kind and word of River Edges presentation has already garnered additional national attention.

Coliseum hospitals namedto GHA honor roll
Coliseum Medical Centers and Coliseum Northside Hospital in Macon were named to the Georgia Hospital Associations Partnership for Health and Accountability Core Measures Honor Roll. Coliseum Medical Centers is one of 24 hospitals in Georgia to be placed in the chairmans category, the highest on the list.
Coliseum Northside Hospital joins 24 other hospitals in Georgia to be placed in the trustee category, the second highest on the list.
The honor roll is based on clinical data provided by the federal Centers for Medicaid & Medicare Services, which administers Medicare and Medicaid programs.
The data was collected from July 2012-June 2013. Hospitals are required to submit care data to CMS, which details how well hospitals caregivers adhere to a list of value-based purchasing core measures.
Two real estate agentsearn designations
Wayne McIntyre, Realtor, and Brenda Maddox, associate broker/Realtor, both of Coldwell Banker SSK Realtors in Macon, have earned the Coldwell Banker Previews Property Specialist designation.
Eight percent of more than 97,000 Coldwell Bankersales associates have been awarded this designation.
McIntyre and Maddox have been affiliated with Coldwell Banker SSK Realtors for several years. They are award-winning sales associates who have earned many honors.
Macon architectbecomes licensed
Brannen Park of SP Design Group Architects & Engineers Inc. has passed the architect registration examination to become a licensed architect. Park graduated from Auburn University in 2003 with a bachelor of architecture degree.
He joined SP Design in 2005 and accepted a partnership with the firm in 2010. Park currently serves as communications director for AIA Middle Georgia and is a member of the 2014 class of Leadership Macon.

The offices of G. Morris Carr, attorney at law, moved to the American Federal Building at 544 Mulberry St. in Macon. Carr has a law degree from Mercer University, Walter F. George School of Law.
