Northside’s Glenn Smith (12) is The Telegraph’s All-Houston County Offensive Player of the Year.

Northside senior Glenn Smith committed to Georgia State on a weekend visit to Atlanta.

Smith picked the Panthers over Western Carolina. He joins former teammate Trey Payne, a linebacker, at Georgia State.

Smith played all over the field for the Eagles. He rushed for 1,118 yards and 11 touchdowns as a senior. He also caught 33 passes for 402 yards and five touchdowns. He added three passing touchdowns.

Smith started at quarterback as a junior, passing for 1,010 yards and 13 touchdowns with seven interceptions. He also rushed for 905 yards and eight touchdowns.
