1. Back in action: Mercer lost its most recent game, Sunday at USC Upstate, but the Bears (18-6, 9-2) are back at it Friday night with a trip to rival Kennesaw State (4-20, 1-10). Mercer lost on the road last year at Kennesaw State.

2. Saturday showdown: Florida Gulf Coast (15-9, 9-2) remains tied for first place in the conference with Mercer, and the Eagles host third-place North Florida (13-12, 7-5) on Saturday night.

3. Other Saturday games: Jacksonville (9-14, 5-7) travels to Stetson (6-17, 4-7), East Tennessee State travels to Lipscomb (11-12, 6-6) and travels USC Upstate (13-11, 6-5) travels to Northern Kentucky (8-16, 4-8).
