Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company Ltd. announced Thursday it has completed its previously announced acquisition of Timco Aviation Services Inc., which has a Macon facility.

The transaction creates one of the world’s leading providers of aircraft maintenance, repair, overhaul services and aircraft interiors products and services, according to a news release.

Timco, which overhauls and maintains every part of an airplane except for internal engine parts, retains its name.

Earlier this week, Stephen Adams, project manager for the Macon-Bibb County Industrial Authority, said Timco in Macon had recently created 209 jobs which brings the total number of employees up to more than 335.
