SPECIAL TO THE TELEGRAPH

A motorist badly damaged several cars in the Bristol Park Apartments neighborhood early morning Sunday, and residents are asking for help with any information.

Bhavesh Gajjar, who lives on Bass Plantation Drive in Macon, said the neighborhood newspaper delivery woman alerted him and his neighbors to the damage Sunday morning.

In photos he provided The Telegraph, the bodies of four parked cars are seen smashed, warped and scratched.

Gajjar said he received an estimate of $6,300 for repairs for his Nissan Sentra. A neighbor’s Toyota Camry was totaled, he said.

“It was a brutal hit and run in a residential community which could have easily killed someone,” Gajjar said.

Bibb sheriff’s investigators suspect a white vehicle did the damage based on paint chips found on the scene, said Lt. Randy Gonzalez, public affairs officer for the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office. A front bumper tag logo also found had a Ford stamp on it, Gonzalez said.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500.
