Wake Forest

Signees: 26

Georgia Ties: Wake Forest landed late blooming all-state running back Tyler Henderson from Collins Hill and nabbed Pace Academy wide receiver Kameron Uter away from Vanderbilt when James Franklin left the Commodores to take over the Penn State program.

Three to watch:

Zeek Rodney, DT, 6-1, 265, Rock Hill, S.C.

Rodney was a two-time all-state selection. He had 82 tackles, 17 tackles for loss and 14 sacks as a senior.

Kameron Uter, WR, 6-2, 205, Atlanta (Pace Academy)

Uter flipped from Vanderbilt, and it appears Wake Forest landed a strong sleeper. Uter, who is also a top baseball prospect, could also play linebacker in college.

John Wolford, QB, 6-2, 205, Jacksonville, Fla.

Wolford was the Florida Times-Union Offensive Player of the Year in 2013 after passing for 3,317 yards and 38 touchdowns.

Grade: D, The Demon Deacons routinely sign the lowest ranked class in the ACC, often fighting with Duke for that distinction. Now head coach Jim Grobe is gone and Dave Clawson will have to try and maintain a program that reached new heights under Grobe.
