Elijah Hood, RB, 6-0, 220, Charlotte, N.C.

Hood, who may also play linebacker, was a huge pickup for the Tar Heels. He also had offers from Clemson, Florida State, Miami, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, South Carolina and Stanford before enrolling at UNC in January.

Bentley Spain, OL, 6-6, 275, Charlotte, N.C.

Spain was a U.S. Army All-American selection is considered one of the top five players in North Carolina and one of the top tackle prospects in America.

Grade: B, The Tar Heels landed a top five class in the ACC and a top 30 class nationally. Head coach Larry Fedora is picking up where Butch Davis left off on the recruiting trail, but he would love to convert the recruiting goodwill into wins on the field.
