A Macon woman was shoved to the floor, kicked in the stomach and robbed of her purse as she arrived home Friday afternoon.

The incident happened about 12:30 p.m. on Eden Drive, according to a Bibb County sheriff’s incident report.

The 27-year-old woman said she noticed a broken window on the side of her house when she pulled into her carport.

She said a tall, slender black male wearing blue jeans and a mask approached her and demanded her purse. He shoved her hard into a wall and into railings where she lost her balance and fell.

“He kicked me in the stomach, snatched my pocketbook and ran off,” she said when reached by phone Monday.

She told deputies the man fled on foot toward Mercer University Drive. A neighbor told them he heard her screaming and shortly after saw the man running.

Deputies recovered the victim’s purse behind a house on Mercer University Drive, and the crime lab dusted a few items for fingerprints, the report stated.
