The weather has led to a pair of local college basketball changes, one by a day and one by about a month.

The Mercer men’s basketball game scheduled for Thursday night at East Tennessee State has been moved to Friday, thus bumping the Saturday game at USC Upstate to Sunday. Tipoff on Friday is 7 p.m., and Sunday’s game will start at 2 p.m.

The changes also affect Kennesaw State, Mercer’s conference travel partner, which plays USC Upstate on Friday and ETSU on Sunday.

Fort Valley State’s game at Morehouse set for Thursday has been moved to March 1.

Mercer leads the A-Sun standings at 8-1 and is 17-5 overall. ETSU and USC Upstate are currently 4-4 in conference play.

FVSU lead the SIAC at 9-0 and is 13-5 overall. The Wildcats have a 2- 1/2 game lead over Benedict, which is 7-3.
