Free homeowners workshop Saturday

WARNER ROBINS -- Houston County Habitat for Humanity will host a free homeowners workshop Saturday.

The “Empowering Successful Homeownership” workshop will be 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Warner Robins Housing Authority Resident Services and Programs Building at 400 Green St. Sessions include homeowner education, budgeting and credit, home and yard maintenance, and being a good neighbor, according to a news release.

While the workshop is free, registration is required. To register, contact Hope Hicks at 478-328-3388 or volunteer@hocohabitat.org.

Participants who complete the program will receive a certificate that will make them eligible for financial assistance from private and government programs, the release states.

Workshop co-sponsors are: Warner Robins Housing Authority, Fort Valley State University Cooperative Extension, Middle Georgia Community Action Agency, Consumer Credit Counseling Services and Life Changers.
