1. Keeping the momentum: Mercer claimed a huge win over Florida Gulf Coast on Thursday to sit alone in first place in the conference. But the Bears (16-5, 7-1) can't afford a letdown Saturday when they host Stetson (6-14, 4-4), which is coached by Macon native Corey Williams.

2. Needing to bounce back: Florida Gulf Coast (12-9, 6-2) will have to respond to its loss to Mercer, and it will travel to Kennesaw State (4-17, 1-7) on Saturday.

3. Needing to keep pace: North Florida (11-10, 5-3) sits in third place as it heads to USC Upstate (10-10, 3-4) on Saturday.

4. Other games: Lipscomb (7-12, 2-6) plays at Northern Kentucky (8-12, 4-4) on Friday; Jacksonville (8-11, 4-4) travels to East Tennessee State (10-10, 3-4) on Saturday.
