Bibb sheriff’s investigators bust man with 30 pounds of marijuana

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Special Investigations Unit along with the Sheriff’s Office SWAT team arrested a Macon man Wednesday and seized a handgun, 30 pounds of marijuana and cash.

Investigators served a search warrant at 3886 Fairmont Ave. and seized the marijuana, which has an estimated street value of $60,000, a semi-automatic handgun and $35,000, according to a sheriff’s office news release.

Joseph Anthony-Bernard Willis, 22, was charged with trafficking marijuana, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and possession of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school. Willis is being held without bond at the Bibb County jail.
