2nd man arrested in Houston homicide

WARNER ROBINS -- Authorities have arrested a second suspect in last week’s killing of a Houston County man.

Crisp County sheriff’s deputies arrested Devasko Dewayne Lewis, 35, of Cordele at his home Wednesday morning, according to a news release from the Houston County Sheriff’s Office. Lewis is being held without bond at the Crisp County Detention Center.

Lewis and Jamarcus Akeem Clark, 23, of Ashburn are charged with murder in the Jan. 14 slaying of 30-year-old Kerry Benald Glenn, according to the Houston County sheriff’s office. Clark has been in the Houston County jail since Monday without bond.

Glenn, who lived in the 300 block of Ga. 224 West about three miles from Perry, died of a single gunshot wound to the head. A family friend discovered Glenn’s body near the back porch while baby-sitting at his home.

The Houston County Sheriff’s Office is continuing the investigation, and no further details were released.

The Crisp County Sheriff’s Office, Perry Police Department, Turner County Sheriff’s Office, Georgia Department of Natural Resources and GBI are assisting in the investigation.
