Forsyth man charged with selling drugs from his store

Monroe County sheriff’s deputies arrested a Forsyth man after an investigation revealed illegal drugs were being sold at the business he owns.

Deputies served a search warrant Friday at Pansy’s Corner Store at 140 Powerhouse Road and arrested Walter Mays, according to a news release by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.

Mays is charged with possession with intent to distribute and the sale of schedule II and schedule IV narcotics, possession of marijuana and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Mays’ business was seized, and he was taken to the Monroe County jail.
