Ike Nwamu and the Mercer Bears take a three-game winning streak to Northern Kentucky on Thursday.

CLAY TEAGUE — For the Telegraph

1. Staying strong: Mercer (14-5, 5-1) has won four straight games and nine of its past 10. The Bears take on Lipscomb (7-11, 2-5) on Saturday.

2. Rivalry matchup: North Florida (8-9) and Jacksonville (10-9) are off to a strong start in conference play with both sitting at 4-2. The Ospreys host the Dolphins on Friday night in the conference's showcase game.

3. Finding its footing: Florida Gulf Coast struggled through the early part of the season, but the Eagles are playing better lately, sitting at 11-8 overall and 5-1 in conference play. They host East Tennessee State (9-9, 2-3) on Saturday.

4. Other Saturday games: Stetson (4-14, 2-4) hosts USC Upstate (9-9, 2-3), while Northern Kentucky (7-12, 3-4) hosts Kennesaw State (4-15, 1-5).
