Players caught off guard by Grantham's departure

ATHENS - More than a few people around the Georgia football program were in the dark as news broke late Sunday afternoon that Todd Grantham was leaving. One football staff member had the news broken to him by a reporter, and after expressing shock, begged off the phone so he could get to work. A couple other staff members also said they were finding out via media reports.

Then there were defensive players, who took to Twitter to express their thoughts, and in some cases their surprise:

Then there was the interesting reaction of now-former Georgia linebacker Chase Vasser, a senior who had Grantham as a position coach the past four years:
