Macon man accused of stealing sunglasses

Deputies from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office have arrested a suspect in connection to a burglary incident.

Deputies responded to a burglar alarm at LensCrafters, 3353 Mercer University Drive, around 9:45 p.m. Saturday where they found the front glass door was broken, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.

After a search the area, 50-year-old Ronnie Deloach, of Macon, was found hiding in the wood line behind the store, the release states. He was arrested after a brief foot pursuit. Deloach had several pairs of sunglasses in his possession with the tags still attached, the release states.

Deloach is being held without bond at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center on charges of burglary in the second degree and probation violation, the release states.
