2 arrested in Warner Robins collision center theft

WARNER ROBINS -- Two men are accused of stealing automobile parts after a police officer spotted a suspicious vehicle early Monday near Chandler Collision Center on Radio Loop.

Benjamin Neill, 22, of Bonaire, and Samuel Rumph, 38, of Warner Robins, are charged with theft by taking, a Warner Robins police news release stated.

About 4:25 a.m., Sgt. Scott Webb spotted a car that took off at a high rate of speed as he drove up to the collision center at 1360 Radio Loop, the release stated.

The officer caught up with the car -- and Neill -- less than a mile away at Wellston Ridge Apartments at 200 Olympia Drive where the men had parked and fled on foot. Rumph was arrested later, the release stated.

Auto parts police say were stolen from the collision center were found inside the abandoned car, the release stated.
