Community forum on blight tonight

January 4, 2014

BEAU CABELL/THE TELEGRAPH Macon, Ga., 01/03/2014: With plywood boarding some of the windows at the 3830 Kings Park Cir. right an unkempt front yard poses something of an eyesore in the east Macon neighborhood.

Abandoned homes. Litter on the road. Decaying buildings. These are some ways Macon-Bibb residents have described blight around them.

We want to hear about the blight you see. The Center for Collaborative Journalism, in partnership with The Telegraph, is hosting two community forums on area blight. The first is at 6 p.m. Feb. 4 at East Macon Park Community Center, 3326 Ocmulgee East Blvd., and the second is 6 p.m. Feb. 6 in the fellowship hall of Centenary Church, 1290 College St.
