Two men entered the Wal-Mart on Harrison Road early morning Thursday and stole a Children’s Miracle Network donation box.

The incident happened about 2:15 a.m., according to the sheriff incident report.

An employee told deputies that two males wearing black ski masks entered the store, picked up the charity box and left the scene in a tan or gold Ford Taurus with the license plate obscured by a piece of cloth.

The employee could not place a value on the theft but provided deputies with photos taken from surveillance footage, the report said.

Children’s Miracle Network raises money for 170 children’s hospitals across the U.S. and Canada.
