People wanting to meet their fitness goals for 2014 can once again walk along the Ocmulgee Heritage Trail.

The riverwalk reopened Thursday after the Ocmulgee River flooded earlier this week.

Although the trail is open, the Macon-Bibb County Public Works Department will be cleaning the walkway and boat ramp Thursday.

Additional cleaning is expected once the ground dries out, according to a news release from Macon-Bibb County.
