Man charged with aggravated assault in Haddock man’s shooting

A Haddock man is hospitalized and a Macon man is in jail after a Wednesday morning shooting in west Bibb County, according to a Bibb County Sheriff’s Office news release.

About 5:19 a.m., law enforcement officials were called to the Pavilion Apartments at 399 Plantation Way on reports of a shooting, according to the release.

Witnesses claimed Bryan Collins, 24, of Haddock, and Savalles Emory, 35, of Macon, were arguing while at Emory’s apartment. During the argument, witnesses said Emory shot at Collins, hitting him in the chest, according to the release.

Collins was transported to a local hospital, where he was listed in stable condition Wednesday afternoon, according to the release. Emory has been charged with aggravated assault and probation violation, according to jail records.

He is being held in the Bibb County Law Enforcement Complex with a $16,700 bond, according to jail records.
