Volunteers serve Christmas Dinner at Rescue Mission

More than 100 volunteers more than 907 Christmas meals at the Rescue Mission Macon on Christmas Eve.

About 400 of those meals were for visitors to the Mission while the balance were to go boxes.

Back in the kitchen, volunteers listened to Christmas tunes as food was cooked and served.

Peyton Hitt came with her mother Sally Hitt to volunteer at the Rescue Mission, a first for both of them. Sally Hitt said she wanted her daughter to experience "The joy of the season."
