Former Crawford parapro facing additional child molestation charges

Five counts of child molestation have been added to the list of accusations against a Crawford County Middle School paraprofessional arrested in October.

Carlteze James Saffold, 28, of Roberta, was charged Oct. 9 with four counts each of sexual exploitation of children, enticing a child for indecent purposes and child molestation, according to a Crawford County Sheriff’s Office news release. Additionally, he was charged with aggravated child molestation charge on Nov. 6.

Wednesday, Saffold was charged with the additional molestation charges.

No bond was set for Saffold during a Friday morning appearance before Superior Court Judge Phillip Brown. A future bond hearing will be set at a later date.

Authorities have said four children were involved in incidents off school property.
