Teenager shot in Freedom Park

A teenager was reported shot Thursday afternoon at Freedom Park.

The 16-year-old male received a gunshot to the shoulder, but his injury is non-life threatening, said Leon Jones, Bibb County coroner.

The incident was reported at 3:30 p.m., according to Macon police emergency dispatchers.

Further details of the shooting were not available late Thursday.
