A Roberta man shot himself to death when sheriffs deputies attempted to serve him with an arrest warrant, according to a Thursday news release from the Crawford County sheriffs office.
Deputies were attempting to serve William Bradley Wingo, 44, about 6 p.m. Wednesday at an address on South Dugger Avenue when Wingo shot himself, the release states.
Wingos body has been sent to the GBI crime lab for an autopsy. The GBI is investigating the incident due to the sheriff deputies involvement, the release states.
The release did not say what the charge was on the arrest warrant.
