A 19-year-old man told Macon police a knife-wielding man entered the hotel office where he was working and demanded money, but his brother ran him off with a baseball bat.

The incident happened at the United Suites hotel on 2737 Sheraton Drive in Macon late Friday, according to the police incident report.

Saif Jamal told police a white male wearing a black hood, black shirt with grey sleeves, dark pants and a navy bandana around his face entered the hotel office with a knife in his hand about 9 p.m.

When the man demanded money and jumped on the office counter, Jamal called his brother, who ran out from the back office with a baseball bat. The man escaped on foot, the report stated.
