Dollar General held up in Macon

Macon police were dispatched to a retail store Thursday night after it was robbed by three masked men with a gun.

The incident happened about 7:40 p.m. at Dollar General on 2480 Shurling Drive, according to a police incident report.

The store manager told police she was approached by one of the men who pointed a gun at her face. The gunman led her to the store’s safe, and he got $1,100. Afterwards, the three men escaped on foot.

Macon police officers reviewed video footage that confirmed the robbery, but the three suspects involved were all wearing masks and gloves, according to the report.
