Macon Bibb firefighters work to clean up the scene of an accident involving a dump truck and Chevrolet Impala late Friday morning just uphill from the Monroe County/Bibb County line. The wreck occurred when the driver of the Chevrolet Impala made a u-turn heading north on Riverside Drive in front of the dump truck. The driver of the dump truck, unable to slow down, clipped the rear of the Impala and then flipped on its side. Neither driver was seriously injured. The driver of the Impala was cited for failure to yield. Traffic was blocked on Riverside Drive northbound from about the county line to the Shoppes at River Crossing while officials cleaned up.
