Macon man shot during walk down Houston Avenue

A man flagged down a Macon police officer Tuesday after he was shot while walking down Houston Avenue.

Police identified the victim as Quincy Smith, 20, of Macon, according to the police incident report.

He was walking with a woman southbound on Houston Avenue about 10 p.m. when he was shot.

The woman told police they had just passed 3241 Houston Ave. when four individuals started yelling and running toward them. While running away she heard two gunshots and found Smith injured, she told police.

Emergency medical services drove Smith to The Medical Center of Central Georgia.
