A Crawford County brother and sister posted $25,000 bonds in a child cruelty case involving her 3-year-old boy.

Mark William Fogleman, 18, was arrested Thanksgiving Day, and 22-year-old Sarah Fogleman was arrested Tuesday, according to a news release from the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office.

Both are charged with cruelty to children by negligence in the second degree.

On Nov. 27, deputies were called about a dog bite and found Mark Fogleman holding his naked 3-year-old nephew at the end of a driveway on Clay Road, the release stated.

The child had visible injuries and was treated and released from The Medical Center of Central Georgia.

The boy is now in the care of the Department of Family and Children Services, the release stated.

Sheriff Lewis Walker plans to discuss the case Friday afternoon with the assistant District Attorney.
