WARNER ROBINS -- Fewer residents voted during the four days of early voting for the runoff elections than during the early voting period for general elections.

Kathy Cummings, the Warner Robins elections superintendent, said a total of 1,573 residents cast ballots Friday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. More than 2,500 voted early for the November election, but that period was three weeks long.

Cummings said by email the total numbers for early voting were “good considering the bad weather and the holiday plans.”

The runoff election is Tuesday.

The ballots include the mayoral race between retired firefighter Randy Toms and retired Public Works Director Joe Musselwhite, and the Post 1 council seat, between incumbent Mike Daley and current Mayor Chuck Shaheen.
