Based on my rough start in life and my close call with not even having a life, Ive pretty much been thankful ever since I can remember. If not for the goodness of others and for people who reached out to me, I literally wouldnt have survived.
I have so many reasons to be grateful that I usually spend my days showing everyone how much I care. I guess all rescued pets feel this way, too. We spend the rest of our lives showing how appreciative we are for being saved.
Yes, Im thankful every day. But it seems like I have even more to be thankful for this year. So its really nice to focus on our blessings this week as we prepare for Thanksgiving.
This has been an awesome year for which I am very grateful. To begin with, Im so thankful I was named mascot of the Homeless Pet Clubs that covers the entire country. Thats pretty big.
Im very thankful CARES Homeless Pet Club has helped adopt more than 670 pets in a little more than a year. Thats really exciting since its done through a partnership with local businesses and schools promoting homeless pets from local rescue groups.
Im certainly thankful and humbled I won the national Dog TV logo contest. That was immensely exciting and never wouldve happened without the help of all my friends.
Im very thankful for our law enforcement professionals in my hometown. Im proud they worked so hard to investigate the crime at All About Animals rescue and made an arrest.
Im also proud of the people who were so supportive of the rescue groups as we grieved over the tragedy at All About Animals. So many people carried us through the shock of what happened.
Im very thankful were right on the cusp of the consolidated government. This is a truly historic time for our county and a great opportunity to finally make a positive difference for our animals and the people who love them.
Im very grateful for the numerous animal lovers and rescuers in Middle Georgia. The time to join forces in strength and unity has never been better. The opportunity to show that Macon can be progressive in animal welfare is right before us. Its an exciting time for us.
And finally, out of everything I have to be thankful for this year, I am most thankful for the safety of two of my most favorite, beautiful rescuers -- Miss Libbie and Miss Allison Walthall. I praise God for them, and I give thanks they are back helping homeless animals that need them.
Yes, its Thanksgiving week. But for me, as it is for all rescued pets, its Thanksgiving life.
