Alfred Jinwright, right, hands a bag of collard greens to one of the many recipients of a complete, uncooked Thanksgiving meal at the Outreach Mission Church of God on Montpelier Avenue in Macon. The church gives out food on the third Thursday of every month. "The difference today we had turkey. Fresh turkeys and collard greens," said Juanita Crump, a church member and one of the organizers of the food giveaway. According to Elbert Lewis, another church member and organizer, people were lined up for food at 7am Thursday. Crump says from her vantage point, she sees more need for food. "With all the cuts in food stamps, there are more people coming all the time," she said.
