Tattnall's Long signs with Georgia Southwestern

Tattnall Square senior Dakota Long signed with Georgia Southwestern on Tuesday.

Tattnall Square baseball standout Dakota Long signed with Georgia Southwestern.

Long hit .303 with five extra base hits and 17 RBI as a junior. He had seven extra base hits and 30 RBI as a sophomore.

Long helped lead the Trojans to a GISA Class AAA state championship as a junior.

He played first base in 2012, but Long is expected to play catcher as a senior.

Long is also a standout linebacker on the Trojans’ football team.

Long will join former Tattnall teammate Ryan Mosley at Georgia Southwestern.

There are plenty of other Middle Georgians on the roster: Lane Dixon (Westfield), Jarrod Taylor (Westfield), Les Cromer (Crisp Academy), Dylan Folds (Hawkinsville), Davey King (Howard) and Earl Dupree (Hawkinsville).
