Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia will open Wednesday its new retail training store and donation drive-thru in Warner Robins.

The store, at 2823 Watson Blvd., replaces a smaller Goodwill store that was on Margie Drive in Centerville, according to a news release.

The grand opening will begin with a reception at 8:30 a.m.

“This new Watson Boulevard store will provide greater convenience for donors and customers, along with ample space for future growth of Goodwill services,” Goodwill President and CEO James Stiff, said in the release.

The new Goodwill, which is located in a renovated Food Lion store, has more than 18,000 square feet of space. It is double the size of the Margie Drive store that opened in 2008.

In fiscal year 2013, Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia and the Central Savannah River Area placed more than 3,200 people into jobs and provided career development services to more than 21,000 individuals.
