A new salon in downtown Macon provides grooming services for men.

The Gentry, at 352 Cotton Ave., offers facials, scalp treatments and straight-razor shaves in additional to typical styling services, according to a news release. The store is celebrating its grand opening at 2 p.m. Wednesday.

Owner Bryan Ochoa has owned several salons in the past and said the shop will provide a “level of care” that men will appreciate.

“With the number of professional men working and living in downtown, this type of business should thrive and create a very unique niche for itself,” Main Street Macon Manager Mechel McKinley said in the release.

The Gentry will be open 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday-Friday. In the future, Saturday hours may be added, according to the release.
