Macon police responded to an armed robbery early Tuesday morning.

The incident occurred at an apartment complex along the 1400 block of Gray Highway, according to a police incident report.

Nizar Merali and Mansoor Dinani told police they arrived home from work when they were approached by a man with his gun drawn who demanded money.

Merali told police that while he gave up items in his pocket, he noticed a second man looking inside his car, the report said.

The incident ended when a female Rivers Edge employee exited a neighboring apartment where she was checking in on a patient and Dinani yelled that they were being robbed, the report said.

The robbers ran away, and the woman called 911.

Macon police do not have the identities of the two males.
